Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan Applies Open-Close System

The open-close system is applied during taxi demonstration in front of Jakarta City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Monday (3/14).

Open-close system is applied from US Embassy towards Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan. If the traffic is dense, we will open one lane

Head of Control and Operational Section, Jakarta Transportation Dept, Maruli Sijabat said, since morning, demonstration anticipatory has been done since morning, included applying open-close system.

"Open-close system is applied from US Embassy towards Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan. If the traffic is dense, we will open one lane," he expressed, Monday (3/14).

Satpol PP Sent to Safeguard Demonstration in City Hall

According to him, opening for Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan depends on traffic condition on Jalan M.I Ridwan Rais. If there is a density until Tugu Tani, one lane on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan will be opened.

"We remain support traffic security with City Police Traffic Unit. We sent 100 personnel to help them," he stated.

He added, Jakarta Transportation Dept also sent 100 personnel to parse traffic jam in the field.
